We are delighted to announce the appointment of Tonye Wokoma as BMS/FSRH Menopause Guardian and Jane Davis as Deputy Menopause Guardian.

Tonye is a Consultant in Community Gynaecology, Sexual and Reproductive Health at Conifer House Sexual and Reproductive Health service in Hull, where she is the clinical lead for Menopause care.

Jane is a GP at Pensilva Health Centre in Liskeard and a Speciality Doctor in Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare at the Royal Cornwall Hospital Trust.

Both are BMS recognised Menopause Specialists.

These joint BMS and Faculty appointments are the first steps towards establishing a joint BMS/FSRH Curriculum Development Group (CDG). The primary focuses of the CDG are to:

  • explore ways in which we can attract and retain more Menopause Principal Trainers
  • review and update the Curriculum and logbook to make it more user-friendly and relevant to modern NHS practice

If you have any thoughts, suggestions or comments about how the CDG can achieve these goals, please email admin@bms-whc.org.uk.
