An updated WHC Fact Sheet has been published today on the topic of Understanding and managing sleep problems during the menopause.
Sleep problems are very common in the menopause transition, affecting around 40-56% of women. As well as feeling fatigued during the daytime, poor sleep can affect mental health, memory, concentration, heart health and bone health – but help is available.
This WHC Fact Sheet has been updated following the recent publication of the new BMS Tool for Clinicians Managing sleep disturbance in the menopause transition.
Thank you to Kathy Abernethy, Dr Heather Currie and Dr Zoe Schaedel for reviewing and updating the fact sheet on behalf of the BMS medical advisory council.
