Overview: Low libido in menopause: a practical approach to consultation and management – Dr Angela Sharma  

  • Low libido can be difficult to manage during menopause. In this session we will explore sexual problems that arise in menopause and practical ways to assess patients in a biopsychosocial way as well as expanding your management toolkit.

Testosterone: practical prescribing and myth busting – Dr Juliet Balfour 

  • This session will provide practical advice on how to counsel and monitor patients wanting to try testosterone and what prescribing options are available. It will also look at the current evidence on the possible benefits of prescribing testosterone to women, separating the facts from misinformation.

Managing menopausal symptoms without HRT: practical strategies for clinicians – Dr Claire Phipps

  • This presentation provides an evidence-based guide for healthcare professionals on supporting women through menopause who choose not to or cannot take hormone replacement therapy (HRT). We’ll explore practical, non-hormonal approaches including lifestyle modifications, psychological support, and pharmacological options to effectively manage common symptoms such as hot flushes, sleep disturbance, mood changes, and genitourinary symptoms.

The BMS Masterclass carries 3 CPD credits.

Course format:Delegates will be signposted to supporting material for the webinar once registered. During the live interactive webinar panel session on Tuesday 27 January delegates will have plenty of opportunity to ask questions. All delegates will receive a copy of the presentations after the event.
