Overview: Lifestyle changes to decrease symptoms and increase health span – Dr Annie Neill

  • Menopause is not a disease state. Changes associated with menopause, however, can increase the risk of chronic disease which means the way our patients handle the menopause transition really matters. This presentation will outline a structured approach to a lifestyle consultation and one which should be included in any menopause conversation. It will provide a wide range of resources to use in clinical practice and tips for ageing powerfully.

Hormone Replacement Therapy: frequently asked questions – Dr Clare Spencer

  • During menopause consultations, certain key questions and discussions consistently arise. This lecture aims to explore and clarify the most common areas of uncertainty faced by healthcare professionals regarding hormone replacement therapy (HRT), providing evidence-based answers and practical guidance to support informed clinical decision-making.

Meningioma and hormones: implications for prescribing contraception and HRT – Professor Anne MacGregor

  • Several recent publications have raised concerns regarding a causal link between progestogens and meningioma progression. This talk reviews the evidence and considers the practical implications for prescribing.
