Women’s Health Concern (WHC) is delighted to announce the launch of its new Menopause Wellness Hub, in collaboration with Nigel Denby.
For more than 15 years, WHC has developed a close relationship with Nigel, a Registered Dietician, who specialises in supporting women during menopause transition. Nigel is the founder of Harley St at Home Menopause, an online community established in 2020 to support women through menopause and beyond.
The new WHC Menopause Wellness Hub provides evidence-based, peer reviewed lifestyle information for women and their partners. Four new factsheets cover a wide range of topics: Nutrition in menopause; Exercise in menopause; Weight gain and menopause; and Emotional wellness in menopause.
To support health professionals, two new BMS Tools for Clinicians have been developed: Menopause: Nutrition and Weight Gain; and Menopause: Nutrition and Weight Gain Top Ten Tips.
And a new BMS TV video Menopause – Weight gain, nutrition and lifestyle provides further positive lifestyle information for both women and health professionals alike.
All new WHC and BMS resources are easily accessible via the new WHC Menopause Wellness Hub, together with sign-posting to a range of other trusted websites.
Later this month, we look forward to welcoming Nigel Denby and Elaine Hindal, Chief Executive of the British Nutrition Foundation, to speak at the BMS annual scientific conference. On Thursday 29 June, Session 4 – Nutrition will focus on the importance of good nutrition as a cornerstone of a healthy menopause.
And finally, look out for a special Nutrition and menopause issue of the BMS Post Reproductive Health journal, planned for publication in December.
